Redefining the Future of Pilot Training

About the design

Powerplant

The RED A03 V12 twin-turbocharged engine delivers 500 horsepower with a blend of performance, safety, and efficiency. Its liquid-cooled design is managed by a dual-channel FADEC system that independently controls fuel and ignition for each bank of cylinders. Even in the event of a partial system failure, the engine continues to operate in a reduced-power mode, ensuring reliability and safety.

Offering turboprop-level performance at a significantly lower price point, the RED V12 sets a new standard for economical high-output piston engines.

Propeller

The MT-Propeller MTV-9 is a three-blade, constant speed design engineered for smooth, efficient operation. Built from advanced composite materials, it combines low weight with exceptional strength and reliability. The constant speed system automatically optimizes blade pitch, ensuring maximum thrust for takeoff, efficiency in cruise, and reduced noise during operation.

Seating Configuration

The tandem cockpit, long used in military pilot training, places student and instructor in line with one another. This setup reduces drag and sharpens skills by eliminating the side-by-side crutch, fostering focus, independence, and stronger situational awareness. The result is a pilot better prepared for advanced flight operations.

For added safety, the design includes an in-seat parachute system, with optional lightweight ejection seats available for programs that demand an extra margin of protection.

Retractable Gear

The hydraulically actuated landing gear is engineered for reliability and long service life. Its robust design tolerates the high frequency of training operations and the demanding handling of student pilots, ensuring safe and consistent performance with minimal maintenance.

Advanced Avionics

Both front and rear cockpits are equipped with identical Garmin avionics, giving students and instructors equal access to a full IFR-capable flight deck. This mirrored setup streamlines training, allowing instructors to seamlessly demonstrate procedures and monitor student performance in real time. Integrated engine monitoring provides clear, reliable data to support safe operations and reinforce best practices from the earliest stages of training.
