MA-1 Blue Jay Launch Event
Orlando, FL — September 12, 2025 — Maloy Aircraft hosted an exclusive private event in downtown Orlando to unveil the MA-1 Blue Jay, a next-generation aircraft designed to redefine pilot training. The event brought together approximately 40 invited guests, including leaders from flight schools, airline and former military pilots, aviation industry experts, and members of the Maloy Aircraft team.
The evening began with a social gathering, allowing guests to connect and share insights about the future of flight training. Attendees then gathered for a 45-minute presentation led by Donald Maloy, President and CEO of Maloy Aircraft, which introduced the MA-1 Blue Jay aircraft, its performance and features, and the integrated Flight Lead training system.
Throughout the presentation, Maloy Aircraft addressed the critical challenges facing the aviation industry — from the growing pilot shortage to the need for higher training quality and efficiency. The event demonstrated how Maloy Aircraft’s holistic approach, combining advanced aircraft design with modern software and curriculum development, can help bridge this gap for flight schools and training organizations.
Following the presentation, guests experienced the mixed reality simulator for the MA-1 Blue Jay firsthand. The hands-on demonstrations showcased how Flight Lead software integrates with the aircraft’s systems to create a more immersive and data-driven pilot training experience. The event concluded with networking and in-depth discussions among attendees about the implications of this new platform for the future of pilot development.
